Virtual Public Information Center for Salem County 5 Points & 6 Points Roundabout Projects

SJTPO is working with Salem County, in cooperation with the Township of Pittsgrove, the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to make significant safety improvements to the intersections commonly known as 5 Points and 6 Points in Pittsgrove Township through the development of roundabouts at each location.

A virtual public information center will be hosted on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Registration to attend the virtual public information center is required and can be completed via the link on the 5 Points and 6 Points Roundabout Projects webpage. If you are unable to attend the virtual public information center, questions and comments can be provided via comment cards located at the Pittsgrove Township Building. Comments will be received through Monday, August 10, 2020.

Comment Opportunity: Share Your Thoughts on Draft RTP 2050

The federally required long-range regional transportation plan, Draft RTP 2050 is available for public comment. The RTP is updated every four years and details the vision, goals and strategies, and projects that are planned over the next 30 years in the South Jersey region. NJ Climate Change Alliance: Virtual Event

The NJ Climate Change Alliance, along with the Eagleton Institute of Politics, is hosting a virtual workshop. The workshop will bring together leaders from various sectors to discuss ways in which to restart NJ’s economy, post COVID-19; focusing on intersecting health equity and social well-being with addressing climate change, and building inclusive and vibrant communities, as well as expanding opportunities for civic engagement.

Upcoming Virtual Public Meeting

SJTPO’s next Policy Board meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Agenda items include approving contract modifications to the Multilingual Outreach Services, Cumberland County Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Action Plan, and Ocean Drive (CR 621) Local Concept Development Study, among other topics.
