The Public Engagement Guide explains the activities of SJTPO, including information regarding plans, committees, educational programs, project development and advancement, and the various ways residents can take initiative in the transportation planning process.
Purpose of the Guide
The purpose of the Public Engagement Guide is to provide an overview of how transportation planning in South Jersey occurs and to detail how members of the public can participate in this process. Early and continuous participation enables members of the public to have a say in how transportation dollars are spent in the region. When members of the public recognize their value, and take initiative in the transportation planning process, the existing transportation system evolves to better serve the needs of the community.
