Upcoming Policy Board Meeting

Our Policy Board meeting will take place on Monday, January 28th at 10:00 am; Vineland City Hall – Caucus Room. Discussion items include the upcoming Federal Certification Review, NJ Transit Reform, approving an amendment to the FY 2018-2027 TIP, amending the scope of the Regional Pavement Data Collection Technical study, among other topics. Submissions for Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and Safe Routes to School Funding Being Accepted Through September 18th.

Does your community have important bicycle and pedestrian project needs? The Safe Routes to Schools program and Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) may be able to provide funding. Applications for the 2018 Program are now being accepted through September 18, 2018. Similar to the 2016 Program, applications must be submitted via Sage. County and municipal governments among others are eligible to apply.

Attend a Free Workshop for Applicants of Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and Safe Routes to School Funding

If you are considering submitting an application for the 2018 Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) or Safe Routes to School program you should attend one of the free workshops being held by the Safe Routes to School Resource Center. These workshops will provide very useful information on how to submit a successful application and how to avoid common mistakes that can disqualify an application.

You can join SJTPO and others at a workshop at Cumberland County College on Wednesday, May 23rd from 10 am to Noon. To register to attend, click here.

Draft FY 2018-2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Available for Public Review

The Draft Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is now available for public review. The public comment period began on Monday, August 14, 2017 and continues through Friday, September 15, 2017. More information is available here.

[Update 9/01/2017, 12:40 pm]: An issue that caused some funding not to display for certain programs has been resolved, and the revised TIP displays all funding years for all projects.

Amendments to FY 2016-2025 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Available for Public Comment

tip-image-smallSJTPO has six minor TIP Amendments, which will be considered for Policy Board action at their July 24, 2017 meeting. Any interested parties are invited to comment on the proposed amendment. Written comments must be received by 5:00 pm, Friday, July 21, 2017.

Atlantic, Cumberland, and Salem Counties, along with the City of Atlantic City and City of Vineland are requesting the following resurfacing projects to be amended into the 3rd and 4th years of the current FY 2016-2025 TIP.
