Notification of Funding Opportunity for CMAQ and CRP Projects in FFY 2028-2030

SJTPO is now accepting applications for the combined Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) and Carbon Reduction Program (CRP). There will be up to $5.700 million available for CMAQ-eligible projects and $2.112 million available for CRP-eligible projects over three Federal Fiscal Years (FFY), including 2028, 2029, and 2030. The Carbon Reduction Program funds are available only for use within the Atlantic City-Ocean City-Villas Urbanized Area. Project Applications are due no later than Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Applicants do not need to specify for which funding program they are requesting consideration. A single Project Application is applicable for joint solicitation. Applicants can request assistance for a one-on-one (in-person or virtual) meeting with SJTPO Staff and the New Jersey Department of Local Aid and Economic Development before applying, no later than June 16, 2026.
