SOUTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ORGANIZATION  

RESOLUTION 0707-25:       Approving the FY 2008 Local CMAQ Project Ranking  

WHEREAS, the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization (SJTPO) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) designated under Federal Law for the southern region of New Jersey including Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Salem Counties; and  

WHEREAS, the SJTPO formally adopted the FY 2008-2011 TIP on July 23, 2007; and  

WHEREAS, the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ) is administered by the Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration; and  

WHEREAS, FY 2008 CMAQ funding is allocated to SJTPO in its FY 2008-2011 TIP; and  

WHEREAS, the following projects will be funded under this ranking:  Bio-Diesel Vehicles Purchase, Atlantic County; Bio-Diesel Bus Purchase, Cape May County; Millville Shuttle, Cumberland County; and A.C. Marina Casino Shuttle, SJTA; and  

WHEREAS, the SJTPO Technical Advisory Committee reviewed and ranked the proposals for FY 2008 CMAQ funding as indicated on the attached chart.  

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Policy Board of the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization hereby adopts the FY 2008 CMAQ Project Ranking to receive FY 2008 CMAQ funding through the FY 2008-2011 Transportation Improvement Program.
