SJTPO has released a Request for Proposals for the Cumberland County Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Action Plan project. Questions are due on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Proposals are due on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 by 5:00PM. More information is available on our RFP Page.
The Draft Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is now available for public review. The public comment period began on Monday, August 14, 2017 and continues through Friday, September 15, 2017. More information is available here.
[Update 9/01/2017, 12:40 pm]: An issue that caused some funding not to display for certain programs has been resolved, and the revised TIP displays all funding years for all projects.
SJTPO has six minor TIP Amendments, which will be considered for Policy Board action at their July 24, 2017 meeting. Any interested parties are invited to comment on the proposed amendment. Written comments must be received by 5:00 pm, Friday, July 21, 2017.

- DB# T121: Statewide Physical Plant Program.
The Statewide amendment adds $4.201M in SECTION 5307 funds for Engineering/Right-of-Way/Construction (ERC) in federal fiscal year (FFY) 2017 in the SJTPO region. A total of $6.788M in SECTION 5307 funds will be added in to the DVRPC region. This is new funding. These funds will be used to replace 259 Non-Revenue Vehicles that have met the federal guidelines for replacement, 100,000 miles or 5 years old.

- DB# 13323: Statewide Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program.
The Statewide amendment increases National Highway Performance Program (NHPP) funding for Engineering/Construction (EC) in federal fiscal year (FFY) 2017 by $59M to $81M and Surface Transportation Program (STP) funding for EC in FFY 2017 by $12M to $27M. The additional federal funds will not have a negative impact on the air quality in the region. This project is being funded with federal resources from unexpended money from NJTPA (MPO for 13 northern counties), thus maintaining fiscal constraint.
