As part of this responsibility, SJTPO conducts many procedures required under transportation conformity regulations for development and amendments of our Transportation Improvement Programs (TIP), and preparation of our Regional Transportation Plan.  In addition, SJTPO is called upon to participate in a variety of Statewide air quality planning efforts and must represent the region's interests in transportation air quality matters.
