SJTPO Policy Board
The governing body of the SJTPO is the Policy Board. It consists of eleven voting members: one elected official from each county government, one municipal elected official from each county (specifically including the Mayors of Atlantic City and Vineland), and one representative each from the New Jersey Department of Transportation, New Jersey Transit, and the South Jersey Transportation Authority.
An annual reorganization meeting is held in January, in which an election of officers is conducted. The Nomination Committee recommended the following officers for 2010:

Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)
A fourteen member Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) provides input to the Policy Board. It consists of staff of each Policy Board member, as well as representatives of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, the New Jersey Highway Authority, and the Delaware River and Bay Authority, along with the chairperson of the Citizens Advisory Committee. A wide variety of other agencies are also invited to participate in the Technical Advisory Committee. Click here for the approved 2012 TAC Meeting Schedule.

Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)
The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) represents a broad cross-section of civic and business groups, environmental interests, and private provider and user groups. The CAC was established as part of the SJTPO's initial structure in recognition of the importance of public involvement to the organization. Other interested individuals and associations also participate and are added to the mailing list upon request.
For more information on the CAC, please contact us at (856) 794-1941, or e-mail us at sjtpo@sjtpo.org
Shore Connection Committee
The Shore Connection Committee (SCC) was established as a forum of vested state and local parties to evaluate the Route 55/47 Corridor, come to agreement on the problems in the corridor, and come to an agreement on a solution or range of solutions that could advance in the project development process. The New Jersey Department of Transportation supported the SCC by working with the committee to examine options and by providing consultant assistance to evaluate the options and facilitate the SCC's meetings.

Please contact the SJTPO at (856) 794-1941 to confirm a scheduled meeting. |
